Since there are many beautiful accommodations on the island where you can enjoy your holiday in this blog we want to share with you Where to stay on Gran Canaria. Whether you are looking for a boutique hotel, all inclusive hotel or an airbnb, this blog has it all. 

In this blog we want to help you with our personal and unique recommendations. We will give you our top 9 in no particular order and we will try to share different zones of the island, so that you can also see the diversity of the options. PLANNING YOUR HOLIDAY IN THE CITY?

LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA

The capital of the island is a perfect location to stay when you want to explore the island and get to know the history. It is a big city with many locations that are definitely a must see. Here you will find one of the best urban beaches in the world, la Playa de Las Canteras. We made a City guide where you can find all our must-sees. Also, there are many restaurants & cafés which will complete your holiday whether you enjoy fine dining or a quick bite, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has it all. 

1 Santa Catalina, A Royal Hideaway hotel

The best option if you are looking for a relaxing hotel in the center of the city with a swimming pool and next to Canarian traditional architecture.

THE REST OF THE ISLAND

PLAYA DEL INGLÉS

We will start with one of the most well known locations: Playa del Inglés. In this touristic town you will find many restaurants and bars which are focused on tourism. You will find restaurants with cuisines from all over the world. There is also a lot of nightlife in the area and several beaches which makes this location perfect for a relaxing holiday.

PUERTO RICO

Puerto Rico is a location with similar characteristics to Playa del Ingles. There is nightlife and many restaurants. There are also new shopping malls: Mogan Mall and The Market Puerto Rico, where you will find many restaurants & shops for a nice evening.  Almost all the hotels and airbnbs have seaview.  *Note, make sure to check where you book as the town is built on a hill so if you want to walk to the beach it is a bit hilly. 

8 Marina Bayview Gran Canaria

Marina Bayview is an adults only hotel.

INGENIO 

This town is located close to the airport, with a lot of authentic buildings. This location is great if you enjoy road trips around the island and want to be in the centre of it. It’s close to Guayadeque and Agüimes, where you can enjoy nature and discover the history straight away.

9 Vila Néstor 

Villa Nestor is our recommendation there.

PASITO BLANCO 

The last location is Pasito Blanco. This small port is perfect to have a relaxing holiday if you prefer to be in a calm accommodation, surrounded by the sea. With a beach nearby and a Yacht Club where you can have a delicious meal.

10 Pasito Blanco Holiday Home – Casa Yairan

Pasito Blanco Holiday Home is the perfect spot for your holiday on Gran Canaria if you are looking for an ocean view house for the whole family.  The house is fully equipped and it has access to 2 swimming pools and a private beach.
